Dry Eye Technology From The Future

Meibomian Gland Imaging:

The Meibo-Scan feature uses a special camera that captures the meibomian glands and allows the doctor to analyze the integrity and functionality of the meibomian glands. This helps us develop effective treatment plans to create a path towards your recovery.

Tear Film Analysis:

This feature uses special lighting techniques to capture detailed images of your tear film including how long they last, making it easy for us to analyze the health of your meibomian glands. It’s important to get this checked early since it is challenging to restore gland health after degeneration.

Redness Scan:

Designed to make eye assessments a breeze, this innovative tool detects the blood vessels in the conjunctiva, the transparent layer of tissue that covers the front surface of the eye. It makes it quick and easy to check how red these blood vessels are.

Meibography Scan:

This is the most powerful tool for dry eye disease. Like cavities, if you are missing your glands or they are congested, we will know how to reverse your signs and symptoms.

We Don't Assume Progress, We Track It.

Our Omega-3 Index test scans the levels of Omega-3s in your body to see if you are at optimal levels. The Omega Index test is just one of many health optimizations that we conduct at The Oasis Center to ensure reduced inflammation for both your eyes and body. The Omega-3 fatty acids are important for keeping your eyes lubricated and reducing the risk of eye diseases such as dry eye and macular degeneration. But it doesn’t stop there – they also support healthy heart and cognitive function.

The Chemistry of Your Tears Matters

Did you know that electrolytes, proteins, and other substances found in tears need to be balanced so your eye surface can be healthy?

To check the balance of these substances, scientifically known as osmolarity, we use the TearLab Osmolarity System. It allows us to analyze tear samples collected from the edge of your eyelids so we can better understand your tear health and create a treatment plan that gives you long-lasting relief from dry eye.
